Urgent Island Restoration’s Nine Step Process
Step 1: The HVAC system is isolated to make sure adjacent spaces or the duct system does not get contaminated.

Step 6: Items that were soaked in body fluids are cut into small pieces so that they can fit into biohazard containers. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is also treated as medical waste to be discarded after work is completed.
Step 7: All equipment used for biohazard cleanup is decontaminated before the professionals leave the containment zone. Plus, HEPA vacuum equipment is contained and sent off in the form of medical waste.
Step 8: The room where the biohazard incident occurred is sterilized by applying a sporicide that is EPA registered. A final check is performed using an ATP luminometer to be sure the desired results have been achieved and your home is completely disinfected.
Step 9: Oftentimes, we need to address the odor for bioremediation. Urgent Island Restoration uses ozone or hydroxyl generators to remove the odor particles that have latched onto the materials in and around the affected area. The extent of the odor removal depends on the time lapse between the incident and the start of the remediation process.
